St. George

A Roman soldier martyred around 303 AD during the Diocletianic persecution, George became one of the most widely venerated saints in both East and West. Though the dragon legend is mythological, what endures is his symbol: a man of courage who chose death over apostasy. He is the patron saint of England, soldiers, and scouts.

Why it matters for your parish: One of the most recognizable saints in the world — high-engagement content with broad appeal, especially for parishes with scouts programs or military families.
