St. Irenaeus
A second-century Bishop of Lyon and disciple of Polycarp, who knew St. John the Apostle, making Irenaeus a living link to the apostolic age. His Against Heresies dismantled Gnosticism with the first systematic theology, establishing Scripture, Tradition, and apostolic succession as the pillars of authentic Christian faith. He is a Doctor of the Church.
