St. John Bosco

A nineteenth-century Italian priest who dedicated his life to educating at-risk boys in the slums of Turin, founding the Salesians. His educational method — the Preventive System — was built on reason, religion, and kindness rather than punishment. He is credited with preventing countless young men from lives of crime. He is the patron saint of youth and educators.

Why it matters for your parish: One of the most beloved modern saints and a natural fit for parishes with youth ministry, Catholic schools, or any outreach to young people. His warmth and practical approach make him instantly relatable.
