St. Patrick
A fifth-century Romano-British missionary who was kidnapped as a teenager and enslaved in Ireland for six years before escaping and returning as a bishop to evangelize the very people who had enslaved him. His Confessio is one of the most remarkable spiritual autobiographies in Christian history. He is the patron saint of Ireland.
