Two apostles of Jesus: Philip, who brought Nathanael to Christ, and James the Less, who led the Church in Jerusalem and wrote the Epistle of James. Tradition holds that James was thrown from the Temple and then clubbed to death. Their feast replaces the traditional anniversary of the dedication of the Basilica of the Apostles in Rome.
