The Transfiguration of the Lord

On Mount Tabor, Jesus revealed his divine glory to Peter, James, and John — his face shining like the sun and his garments dazzling white — as Moses and Elijah appeared beside him and the voice of the Father spoke from a cloud. This Feast has been celebrated since at least the fifth century.

Why it matters for your parish: A Feast of the Lord — the highest rank below a Solemnity — celebrating one of the pivotal Gospel moments. A natural content anchor for any August newsletter.
