St. Francis de Sales
A seventeenth-century Bishop of Geneva and Doctor of the Church who won back thousands of Calvinist Protestants through patient preaching and personal persuasion. He co-founded the Order of the Visitation with St. Jane Frances de Chantal and wrote Introduction to the Devout Life — a spiritual classic showing that holiness is possible in ordinary life. He is the patron saint of writers and journalists.
